BEST, Brighton Eels Swim Team

A competitive age group swim team for children 18 and under. Beginners must be able to swim one length of the pool on their fronts/backs to join the Copper level. BEST competes in the SMSL - Southern Michigan Swim League and USL - United Swim League, and is a member of the USA Swimming. Meet participation is expected; championship attendance is MANDATORY.  Parent participation in Parent group and all meets is expected (timers, scorers, marshalling, ribbons, concessions, etc.).  BEST website:  www.Brightonswimming.com  Family rates are available.   Information booklet available.  Parents are not allowed on deck during practice times. Coaches are available after practice.  Optional Spirit wear available for purchase.

Family rate:  10% discount on additional family members.  High school swimmers and middle school swim team members $100.00. BEST special offer:  First time BEST swimmers ages 7 and under as of 1/11/2010 can join BEST for $50.00 if they can swim two lengths of the pool unassisted.  Call 810-299-4146 for more information. Best no obligation tryouts are the week of January 5 - 8, 2010 from 6:00pm - 7:00pm.  Coaches will determine swimmer's level at this time. Fee may be paid in two installments (by February 8th ).  Must be registered by January 11th to be eligible for practice.  Swimmers/parents are required to read and sign a BEST handbook and contract in order to be a participant. A $50.00 refundable parent participation fee payable to B.E.S.T. is due at parents' meeting on January 7th at 5:30pm at BHS in Room E-04.
